Meet the FranktheMonkey.com team of reviewers!!!

Louis-Courtney Jones – God… Ahem... Editor

Louis Likes to think she’s God but in actual fact she is simply the Editor and genius creator behind FranktheMonkey.com. She is a Web/Graphic Designer by trade and runs a business with her best buddy Hadley in America who occasionally puts in an appearance in the review section here.

Louis was raised by monkeys in Wales and moved to Dublin to seek pastures new in 2001, once there she decided that watching films and playing video games and being an outright silent nerd wasn’t enough for her anymore so she starting writing reviews for a magazine called Backpacker Ireland, after that, she decided to start her own review website and pull others onboard who wanted to have their say on the entertainment of the world. Then she moved back to Wales with the other half and monkey child...

Louis occasionally has ridiculous ideas to change the website which normally end up in complete and utter disaster, is that random blue box still on the left here???

Her nickname, according to half of the PR industry is simply 'Crazy Lady', why????

Matt Adcock - Writer/Reveiwer

Based in the UK, Matt is communications manager by day, film and game reviewer by night - he also writes film reviews for a series of award winning weekly newspapers and has a blog called 'Darkmatters' (at www.darkmatt.blogspot.com). In a not entirely unrelated development, Matt has also written a novel called 'Darkmatters - Standing on the brink of Complete Darkness' which he'd love to get published one day if he can find a publisher brave enough. Matt loves films like Die Hard, True Romance, Star Wars (A New Hope), Fight Club, Aliens, The Crow, Let the Right One In, The Matrix and Blade Runner. He has met and interviewed Bruce Willis, Kiera Knightley and Will Smith, and was featured in The Guardian - who covered the story of how he met his wife by asking both her and her best friend out at the same time... An avid gamer since winning a ZX Spectrum whilst at school, his weapons of choice now are PS3 and PSP. Meet Matt online - his PSN name is 'Cleric20'.

Wayne Byrne – Assisant To Frank/Writer/Reviewer

Wayne’s reviewing talents aren’t just tied to Frank, as he is also the film critic for The Leinster Leader newspaper and he has his own film criticism/analysis website at www.jabbaswordonfilm.blogspot.com (Did he just put a shameless plug on my website??? – Frank)

Some of Wayne’s favourite films of all time in no particular order are: The Exorcist, Masters Of The Universe (yes, he just said that), The Good The Bad and The Ugly, Planes Trains and Automobiles, Blue Velvet, Carnival Of Souls, Sunset Boulevard, Halloween 3: Season Of The Witch, They Live, Adventures In Babysitting, The Searchers, Natural Born Killers, Better Off Dead and Manhunter.

For those willing to debate the greatness of Masters Of The Universe, feel free to argue with him on his website (that’s the plug above this bit… right there… yep, that’s it… - Frank)

Ken Mooney – Writer/Reviewer/Cinema & Events Guide Bod

If Ken had a superpower, it would be telekinesis; but he'd only use it for personal gain, otherwise what's the point?

He regularly gets told he spends far too much time watching TV, movies or playing video games at which point, he reminds people he also reads comics and sleeps too. Yes, that's right, Ken's a geek and proud of it too, and loves nothing more than combining all those interests together in books that get adapted into movies or video-games based on comic books.

But it's an equal opportunities geekiness and he has a peculiar weakness for books written before 1800 and films made before 1970, especially if they star Jimmy Stewart.

Emer Hennigan – Writer/Reviewer

Emer is a 24 year old Trinity College Film Studies graduate who says she just loves reviewing for FranktheMonkey.com because she gets to do her favourite thing in the world - snuggle down in a cosy cinema for 2 hours of visually stunning surround sound escapism. And of course if the film isn't to her liking, she then gets to send Frank a rant about all the ways the film offended my cinematic sensibilities, bemoaning the fact that such a travesty should be visited on the general public. Her favourite actors are James McAvoy, Guillaume Canet, Johnny Depp, Séan Bean, Ewan McGregor and Hugh Jackman and some day she would like to have them all round for a long talk over tea and crumpets. Her favourite actress is Cate Blanchett because she's such a pro. Among the long list of her favourite movies are Once Upon a Time in the West, Michael Collins, Ensemble C'est Tout and Cinema Paradiso. She also enjoys the occasional girly console game, like Eternal Sonata on Xbox 360 and Broken Sword Shadow of the Templars on DS. Her goals and plans for the future include acquiring a FranktheMonkey.com t-shirt, being cut off from the mainland on Inis Meáin with Johnny Depp, building a self-sustainable lifestyle in the west of Ireland, and living to see a non Fianna Fáil government.

Ryan Pearson – Writer/Reviewer

Born and raised in the abandoned coal pits of Battleship Island off the coast of Nagasaki, Ryan (or RDP as he prefers to be known as) mysteriously found his way to Dublin, Ireland in the hopes of a career in sculpting Cows with all manner of colourful designs carved into their flesh. Alas, when he arrived someone had beaten him to it as the streets and shopping malls of Dublin were littered with these brightly coloured beasts of burden.

Down but not defeated, RDP turned his skills to wicca and film, this form of entertainment had so many apparent problems set within it that he just had to sit down and write exactly what was wrong with it… Every now and then he would applaud.

And so the legend of RDP continues…

Sarah Cramer – Writer/Reviewer

Sarah is a clean living country girl who lives and works in the big city of Dublin.

She went to college at Dublin City University (DCU to those of you who are savvy) where she studied communications (no, that does not mean texting and Facebook status comments) and specialised in photography (the clean living country kind).

She graduated two years ago in 2007 and now works full time as a photographer taking… well photos really.

Sarah is a part time writer and although not pursuing the art as a career, has a keen interest in the cinema and films in general and says that she loves working with FranktheMonkey.com (we didn’t pay her to say that, honest)!

Charlene Lydon – Writer/Reviewer

Charlene is a complete and utter film lover maker. She says that her favourite films range from the charmingly profound Shawshank Redemption to the charmingly trite Pretty In Pink.

As a reviewer and a general film watcher, she says that she doesn’t care what a film is trying to do - as long as it does it well… If it doesn’t, well it incurs the wrath of the Lydon!!!

Conor Flynn – Writer/Reviewer

Conor usually writes about himself in the third person as this makes him seem very important and avoids the truth that he is so self-serving and egotistical that he either won’t let or can’t afford to pay other people to write this stuff down for him. At the tender age of eight he saw a movie which changed his life, that movie was the 1986 classic ‘Aliens’. Legend has it that this resulted in two things; a change of Y-fronts and more importantly an understanding of the power of cinema. Upon discovering this, Conor decided on a career in film.

At the raging hormonal age of sixteen, Conor saw the 1994 classic ‘Pulp Fiction’. The village folk say that Conor was mesmerized by the dialogue of the film to such an extent, that it was here he decided to write his first script. At one page in length, this third rate Tarantino rip off was something less than awful, a scribe that now remains lost. Soon Conor came to the conclusion he knew more about Shinola Shoe Polish than he did about writing. This changed after a three year stint at Lincolnshire University, graduating with a BA Hons in Media Production. Still broke and without a clue, he now occasionally works for FranktheMonkey.com amongst others. And as for the Road Warrior...That was the last we ever saw of him. He lives now... only in our memories...

Lucy Montague-Moffat - Writer/Reviewer

Lucy is your typical Journalist student whose hobbies include procrastination and deliberate murder of her own brain cells.

As well as taking full advantage of free press screenings she also writes comedy pieces and gets paid to tell women the jeans they are trying on are really flattering.

She hopes that when the money comes through for her future bestselling novel she can move to New Zealand and marry someone exactly like Brett from Flight of the Concords.
