Finally we are in the throes of summer – yep, it’s JULY!!! Trouble is, no one told Mr Sun to put his hat on!!!

Head on over to the gossip page to check out what the folk in tinseltown have been up to this month NOW!!!

SO... Do YOU have any funny tales from last month for me? Write and tell me, free t-shirt for any stories we like and print! YES THATS RIGHT, WE HAVE OFFICIAL FRANK THE MONKEY T-SHIRTS AVAILABLE, more to come on those soon ok? Not to mention the Frank keyrings, stickers and other goodies!

So, what offerings are there in cinemas this month then??? Well, for starters we still have our great 2008 MOVIE OVERVIEW for you to get an idea of what this year still has on offer at the cinemas!!! While you're there, check out the other great and regularly updated features we have on offer too!!! Anyway, back to the movies that are out now and there is a nice little selection to get you into cinemas this month... Well lets take a quick look…

To start with this month we have a double whammy of animated action as Jack Black stars in Kung Fu Panda, the tale of a group of jungle animals who are threatened by a gang of snow leopards who call upon an inept panda to become a kung fu master and save the Valley of Peace. Disney’s animated summer regular this year is the bizarrely named WALL-E, those of you who watched the Short Circuit series of movies in the 80s might have a familiar feeling when watching this one… What if mankind had to leave Earth, and somebody forgot to turn the last robot off? WALL-E, a robot, spends every day doing what he was made for. But soon, he must discover what he was meant for, as he adventures across the galaxy chasing his dream.

We also get to take a look at the human side of superhuman as Will Smith stars as Hancock, an unpopular alcoholic superhero who, when he rescues a PR agent, tries to improve his public image. More superhero adventures as well at the end of the month when the caped crusader returns to our big screens in The Dark Knight, which may well become better known as the final full film that Heath Ledger ever made with one of his finer performances as the psychotic Joker.

Musical and ABBA fans will be delighted as Meryl Streep stars in stage-to-screen superhit Mama Mia while adventure nuts should be happy with the first of this summers movies starring the excellent Brendan Fraser Journey to the Centre of the Earth.

Make sure you read the reviews here first and then check out our cinema listing times to find the best time for you to see your movie! So, plenty there to keep you occupied in the cinema this month, again, keep an eye on our Cinema listings and reviews for more movies every Friday!!!

Loads of other stuff going on every day in Dublin too... Check out our event guide for dates and times of these cool shows and events too.

if you're just browsing through the site, don't forget to check out our Features Page where you can find out things you just didn't know about all sorts of things.
